About Me

A Up, I served at Greatworth from early 1979 to 1983. I was a SAC on shift, what a great place. we had HS31, HS51, HS71, racal speedrace, H1103, H1200 and the first H1140's. We were part of 2SU along with Edlesborough (yellow Tx) and Bampton castle (Rx), we were the Red Tx of RAF Stanbridge and part of the HF DCN Network. I am still serving after 31 years..

Mick, i remember you as a Radio ham, you gave me a lift once in your car (Milton Keynes) it was like a mobile Comms site,, The civilian bloke that worked in the Tx hall , Ron Marriott was also a radio ham, remember him and also another RT bloke,,, good to speak to you
