We've been away for a few days break which we spent in Snowdonia, We stayed with my wife's cousin in pretty little Dolgellau and were quickly enamoured with the gobsmackingly beautifull mountain scenery. The country lanes and back doubles opened a fresh vista with every turn, from forested slopes to rocky escarpments, we were enthralled by it all and we did all this with a vehicle that turned out to be ideal under that terain with those weather conditions, a Russian Ural 750 and sidecar, a son of Irbit no less. We covered close on 1000 Kmtrs in 5 days. If anyone enjoys roads with a little added adventure, try the A483 to/from Newtown Powys or the A470 over the north end of the Cambrians, absolutely brilliant to drive on a combi! Sorts the bikers out from the boys on fireblades he heh!
