Apologies

Posted by Martin on October 12, 2010 at 4:03 AM

Our apologies for not keeping up with the site over this last month. Members who met my wife June will remember that she has some health issues and this last month has been more dependant on my help than usual. This last week has been worse as she has suffered from a cold, which didn't help her respiration a lot. But she is a gallant lass and with a little encouragement she'll bounce back into her normal form when that cold retreats. Hopefully her apointment at the Heart Hospital this 5th November will resolver those health issues.

Regards to everyone

June'n'Martin

Hi Al, 45 years? you only get 15 for murder!! Only kidding Al, we've just celebrated our 23rd, or 33rd we lived together 10 years before we wed. June's condition is now pretty good, her only problem now is a little arthritis and some rhumatics, we all get there sometime? We have now another apointment for the 17th Dec., at The London Heart Hospital for some blood tests, then on 5th January for the procedures which will keep her there overnight. With some good luck, a fair wind and a following sea she'll be in recovery mode!

Thanks Paul, Al, but there is a more immediate cause for concern, but the waiting list is that long! It's very frustrating, waiting and knowing the risks in waiting!

Thanks for the news of June's hospital visit Martin.
I'm relieved to hear that things are under way, and that treatment will begin in the new year.
The fact that there is no immediate cause for concern is very comforting.
Take it easy. Very best wishes. Paul.

Thanks for the update Martin, and glad to see that you did not indicate any fireworks to cause you great concern. Hope that all now goes well once June's procedures commence. Regards to you both.

The update of our situation for this last Friday. The apointment on Friday at the London Heart Hospital, June was extensively examined on a very advanced `ultrasound' machine and also some `ECG' tests, then a Dr Mullen consulted with June regarding probable proceedures that could be undertaken, he concluded that these could begin sometime next January, apointments to be made.
June apreciates the support expressed in this blog and will keep you posted on future developments.

Hi Martin
I echo the thoughts of Paul and wish June a very speedy recovery and the right results on 5th November. No hidden fireworks I hope.
And just as well that events overtook me and I did not get the chance to suggest to you that I might visit Greatworth today, 15th October. An auspicious day; 50 years ago today that I arrived there for the first time.
Very best wishes tio you both

Hi Martin
There should be no reason for you to apologise.
I am certain that we will all join together in sending our very best wishes to June for a speedy recovery from that wretched cold. It can pull the strongest of us right down, especially when our resistance is already low.
Get better very soon June, and we wish you well for your appointment on the 5th November. Hopefully after that they will be able to get you sorted out, and have you feeling very well once again.
Until then.........do as Martin says !!
Very best wishes
Paul
