The Station's Blogs Post New Entry

What matters most?

We must thank June and Tom for throwing together another reunion. On the question of next years venue and selection of a date, my personal view is....the getting together is the most important.....The Red Lion was fine, I think the food was good at a reasonable  price.....regarding a date, I suggest keep to the same slot on the calendar, for whatever you choose will be suit some and not others...

The question is, with so many changes to the site and the number of years you have been down that memory lane, is Greatworth still  the drawing factor, or is the thought of meeting up with old pals the most important factor?

i hope my views don't upset anyone.

Cheers, Don

Thanks for your support Don, I agree about the `getting together' being the focus in the reunion. But what with the victuallers suffering so many closures, we don't know what we'll find next year, so I'm trying to keep our options open. Of the four pubs mentioned, only The Bell opens a full week. So for the future we'll have to wait till next summer, and see. But if everyone is set for 2nd Wed in August, that's fine with us2.
How do you find meeting up on the camp having previously ordered as I suggested?
